2 cups frozen blueberries
1/4 cup bourbon
1/2 cup white onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, grated
1/2 cup ketchup
3 tbsp coconut sugar
1/4 cup FAIYA Purple Flame
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 tsp salt
pinch black pepper
pinch white pepper
pinch cumin
pinch cinnamon
olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Add olive oil to a medium sauce pan over low heat. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic and spices (cinnamon, cumin, white pepper, black pepper, and salt). Continue cooking for 2-3 minutes, stirring occassionally.
  2. Add coconut sugar, ketchup, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, FAIYA Purple Flame hot sauce, and blueberries. Cover and bring to a simmer over medium-high.
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes or until berries start to burst.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and stir, mashing up blueberries with your spoon in the process. Continue to simmer for 20-30 more minutes.
  5. When sauce has thickened desired amount, take off heat.
  6. Serve along side fries, wings, on a sandwich or burger, or anything else you can think!

Optional: If you like a smooth BBQ sauce, transfer sauce to blender and blend until smooth
